Why was the handicapped division canceled?
Not enough players.
There were fewer listed as entered for snooker and it was played...although it looked like every match after I lost was decided by forfeit so maybe it was best to cancel this time. I'd have played but I haven't been logging in lately so I didn't know about it plus I probably needed enough time to play some more 14.1 games to meet the minimum for handicap.
Hope we can figure out how to get better participation because I like playing these but I'm not good enough to compete with the pros. Maybe if instead of a handicap division, have everyone enter the open division and once you fall out of the main bracket you go to a separate bracket with just those at your level to compete for A, B, and C level champion? I think that would be fun and give the lower players like myself a reason to enter the open division.

I am just back playing after more than a year. So tell me what a 14:1
tournament is please...
The 14:1 refers to straight pool (14.1 continuous).
